American Health+Wellness Design Award

GDUSA’s Health+Wellness Design Awards competition honors the best of communications in a vital segment of the economy, and encompasses broadly the traditional, medical, and healthcare industries, healthy lifestyles and nutrition, and public health and sustainability initiatives. It is among the most selective of graphic design competitions in the country. The Detroiter Magazine is one of approximately 200 winners from 2,000 entries.

The Detroit Regional Chamber used its 2015 Detroiter magazine uniquely in two new ways to raise the profile of its work and strengthen existing partnerships while also reinforcing key talent messages for the region and increasing its exposure. Overall, the Chamber continues to use the magazine to promote the region, its work and amplify its messaging from events or on key areas of focus in the business community.

In 2017-2018, the Detroit Regional Chamber engaged in a yearlong awareness campaign to encourage civility in political discourse in the Detroit region. This campaign stemmed from a to-do item from the Chamber's 2017 Mackinac Policy Conference — an annual convening of more than 1,700 business, government and community leaders to re-energize Michigan.
